//I don't know who to trust no surprise

(Everyone feels so far away from me)

Happy thoughts sift through dust and the lies

(Trying not to break but I'm so tired of this deceit)//

Getting up before Jeff in the morning, Matt made himself a cup of coffee and went to ask his father to the truck. After making the decision to put his plan into action, he had to make sure nothing came in between it.

"Hey son, you're up earlier then usual." Gil said, coming into the kitchen and sitting down after pouring himself some coffee.

"Yeah I actually needed to go into town for a couple hours and I wondered if I could borrow the truck."

"You know you can, you don't have to ask."

"Thanks dad."

"I wonder how Amy is doing." Gil said changing the subject and throwing Matt off a little. He didn't usually lie to his father, but in this case he had to agree with Jeff. If the girl didn't want to go home, no one should make her. She wasn't a baby anymore. Not to mention as much as he hated to admit it, he liked having her around. He was sure Jeff thought the same. So for the time being he had to keep with the lie to his dad.

"Well she obviously didn't want to go home, and she got tired of us helping her out."

"You did the right thing getting that phone number and giving it to me son. I know she wasn't too pleased with me and it seems that your brother isn't either, but it was for sure the right thing. That girl has a family back where she's from that love her and misses her. I would do the same thing for you boys at the drop of a hat."

"I know it was right dad, and I know you would do anything for us. Listen I'm gonna get into town and get those errands done, so I will talk to you later?" Matt said making his way out of the kitchen and the awkward lies he had to keep telling. He loved his dad but this had to be done. It just didn't mean he had to like it.

"See you later son. Just have the car back by later tonight for my run into town."

"Will do, and dad, stop thinking about Amy. She felt she had to do this, and now that she's gone, she's not something we need to concern ourselves with."

(All I ever think about is this)

(All the tiring time between)

(And how trying to put my trust in you just takes so much out of me)//

Pulling up in front of the hotel, Matt jumped out of the truck and ran up to the door to Amy's room. Pausing a moment to rethink what he was about to do, he knocked loudly. He wasn't sure if she was someone who liked to get up earlier, or if she slept all day, but he guessed he would find out by the way she answered the door.

Opening the door, Matt noticed that she looked as fresh as a morning flower after the rain. He had never really focused on her much since the night she showed up with his dad, but now looking at her, he saw something different. She was stunning but not in the way that she tried too hard. She was natural with it, and with that thought fresh in his mind, he realized he was doing the right thing.

"Matt, what brings you by here so early? I didn't think you got up until after noon." Amy said smiling. She had obviously been talking to Jeff and assumed that he slept like his brother.

"I like getting up this early. I'm here for a reason though, do you mind if I come in?"

Moving out of the way, she let him into the bedroom, watching him and wondering what he was up too. She knew Matt had given his father her mother's number and that he wanted her gone more then anyone, but right now he was standing in her room and he was planning something. Amy wasn't sure if she should trust him or not. Sitting down on the bed, she opened her mind to listen to what he had to say.

// Take everything from the inside and throw it all away

Cuz I swear for the last time I won't trust myself with you//

"I have an idea if you are interested." Matt said, pulling her attention right to his face and what he was saying.

"Okay well you have me here and I am listening. So tell me what the idea is and I will shoot it down."

Matt laughed. He knew that she meant it to be funny and he was surprised that he didn't take offense to her wanting to immediately want to shoot it down before hearing it.

"I have a couple friends in Mexico that travel around and do matches, and I know that you like getting into the ring, even when I work you hard. What I am trying to say is this. You did a good job with every damn bump you took the other day, and I was just hard on you to test your passion. You liked doing it, I could tell from what you did with me and then with Jeff. So I talked to my friends last night, they were in town for a couple weeks with their families, and they want to have you work with them."

"Is this a joke?" she asked, almost sure that Matt was here trying to pull her chain.

"No, believe me, it's not a joke. You will learn all the moves that me and Jeff know and then some other ones. The Mexicans can teach better then anyone I know."

"No, I know you're serious about that part of it. What I mean is what you said about me actually doing everything right yesterday. You were harder then shit on me and I thought I would never do it right."

"I was being an asshole. You did every bump the right way. I just wanted to test you."

"Did I pass?" Amy asked, raising her eyebrows and throwing Matt a smile that he was sure could have lit up a room.

"You passed with flying colors. That's what I am here telling you this now. But I want to know if you are interested."

heavy thoughts forcing their way out of me

(Trying not to break but I'm so tired of this deceit)//

Amy thought about this for a second. If she did indeed go to Mexico with the men that Matt knew, she could train and actually do this on her own. She could also stop being a lie that Matt and Jeff had to keep from their dad, and when the time came, she could come home and make a life for herself in North Carolina. There were too many good points to this, but then she immediately realized the one bad thing she hadn't thought about since Matt told her about it.

"Does Jeff know about this Matt?"

Matt didn't answer right away, giving Amy the impression that Matt had done this all on his own, and that it might just be another way of getting rid of her so that she wasn't there to corrupt his brother.

"He doesn't know does he?"

"No he doesn't know, but it's not like you two are seriously dating right? You could do this and come back and be with him or whatever. I just don't want you to miss out on this. We would go but we need to be here with our daddy. I don't like the idea of being that far from him."

"But I do like being that far away from my family?"

"Exactly, and don't flip out that I said that. It's just that I get why you left home, and as much as I like having you around here, I think you can do this and be like us. Do it for you and if that's not enough Amy, go to Mexico and do it for me."

"You want me to wrestle for you?" she said, trying not to laugh in his face. She had never in her life heard someone want her to do something so bad.

"Yes I do. I want you to go there, learn what you can and come back and kick my ass."

"Well then, Matt Hardy, when you put it that way, I will do it. Just find me a way there and I'll go."

// (Every time I try to make myself get back up on my feet)

(And how trying to put my trust in you just takes so much out of me)//

"You want me to tell my little brother?" Matt asked before leaving her room and standing outside the door.

"No, I can do it, just go home, wake him and tell him to come by here. Thanks again for telling me about this Matt." Amy said, pulling him close to her and hugging him.

Matt hadn't noticed in the room but she had a little bit of perfume on that made her smell like vanilla. He hadn't smelled it before but he now found it to be the prettiest scent in the world. Pulling out the hug he waved goodbye and headed back to the truck. He had done something good for the both of them, and if anything, when she came back from Mexico, maybe it could be their time. Mission Accomplished.

// I won't waste myself on you

"Just go see her alright? She called here earlier when you were sleeping, and she said she needed to talk to you. Just be lucky that Dad didn't answer the phone." Matt said, pushing Jeff out of bed and forcing him into the shower.

An hour later Jeff came out, dressed and ready to go. Getting back in the truck for the second time that day, Matt drove the distance to the hotel again. Opting to stay in the truck while Jeff went into the hotel room, he had to just wait for the bomb to drop.

"So Matt told me you called this morning for me?" Jeff asked when Amy opened the door. Putting his arms around her in a hug he placed a gentle kiss on the tip of her nose, and watching her move out of the way he walked into the room and she shut the door.

"Jeff I did call you. There is something I need to talk to you about."

"This sounds serious, did something happen? Does my father know you are here?" Jeff asked as a million thoughts started running through his head. He had been so careful to make sure that no one knew she was still here even though her mother called everyday.

"I got an offer to wrestle and I am taking it Jeff. This has nothing to do with my mother or your brother and father. They didn't catch me, but taking this spot means that you wouldn't have to lie for me anymore. I would really be gone."

Jeff was shell shocked and Amy couldn't blame him. This was something that was thrown on her just as fast as it was thrown on him. She wasn't going to tell him that Matt had been the one to offer it too her otherwise with the look on Jeff's face right now, he might never forgive him.

"This is kind of sudden isn't it? I mean you just got here, and we were just-we were getting together. Are you sure this is something you want to do?"

"Yes, I met this Mexican wrestler in the hotel last night and they want me to come with them for the next year. I just didn't want to leave and not tell you. I owe you so much for what you have done."

"You don't owe me anything."

"You were the one that put me up here Jeff, I owe you more then you think."

"Did you tell your mother? Does she have any idea you are leaving the States?" he asked quietly, still processing what she had told him.

"I am calling her in the morning. I just wanted to make sure that you knew."

"You're leaving tomorrow morning?"

"That's the plan." Amy stated. She had gotten in touch with the man that Matt had told her about and they had set up the time to leave in the morning. It was all happening so fast but she knew it was something that had to be done.

"So if you leave tomorrow morning, can I have you for tonight?" Jeff asked, and looking into her eyes, and Amy looking back into his, she knew that there was no where else she would rather be tonight then with Jeff Hardy.
